n. : 1 : there aren’t enough hours in the day. i finally understand the phrase. i haven’t stopped since july and there isn’t an end in sight.
aside from a little work on a poster and some logging, i haven’t touched ‘high’ since we’ve wrapped. every other project caught up to me fast and i haven’t had time, and i can say that the distance between production to post-production is welcome. when i finally sit down and start cutting it, i’ll have a fresh pair of eyes. every so often i’ll take a break from my other projects and look at the dailies, and they look absolutely perfect. i still can’t believe how well it all went. a million thanks to everyone who was involved. there was no making it without you. a trailer will be up in coming months.
the second part of the ‘la charade’ shoot went off without a hitch. we really hit a stride in our method of shooting it and wrapped mid-august. since then, i’ve been logging the incredible amount of footage (around 2500 minutes of it). the film will be edited in a communal fashion with scenes split between five editors and myself. there have been talks of submitting the film to sxsw, so a final cut of the film will be finished by winter.
after two months and far too many gotham city pizzas, ‘interns’ is picture locked. the sound design and color correction will be finished by sunday. it will be up for your viewing pleasure in the next week or two.

the editing of ‘high’ has begun. i am now enrolled in an independent study course through chapman overseeing the post-production, and a definite deadline has been set: christmas. wrap party soon to come. a trailer near the same time.
‘la charade’ is coming together slowly but surely. a website and trailer will be coming shortly, and a rough cut will be finished mid-november. a final cut should be finished no later than january.
there are talks of a collaboration with charles karel bouley, of kfi and kgo talk radio fame, on a pilot. he’s come up with 13 episode ideas already. i think this could be great.
